Qualification & Skills

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

Professional Experience

2+ years of recent experience in cloud billing, in AWSGood Communication in English

Technical/Functional Skills

Proficiency with AWS Budgets, and the AWS Billing and Cost Management console.Understanding of AWS services and architecture from a cost-impact perspective.

Soft Skills

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualificator Skills:

AWS Cloud Practitioner or other relevant AWS certifications.Knowledge of FinOps principles and practices.

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable AWS Billing Specialist to manage, analyse, and optimize our AWS cloud costs.The candidate must have very good hands-on experience on AWS Billing and all the Credits & Offers provided by AWS.The candidate must have experience with multi-account AWS Organizations and consolidated billing.The candidate also must have experience in Re-Billing the Customer based on the AWS Billing Cycle.The candidate will work closely with our cloud engineering, DevOps, and finance teams to ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and forecasting of AWS expenses.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and monitor AWS billing and usage reports across multiple accounts and organizational units.Analyze cost and usage data to identify trends, anomalies, and cost-saving opportunities.Set up and maintain AWS Budgets, Cost Explorer, and Cost Allocation Tags.Work with engineering teams to implement cost optimization best practices (e.g., right-sizing instances, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans).Ensure timely and accurate internal chargebacks or showbacks for cloud resources.Collaborate with finance and procurement teams for forecasting, budgeting, and vendor communications.Generate regular reports and dashboards for stakeholders on AWS spending and savings initiatives.Maintain documentation of billing practices, account hierarchies, and tagging standards.Stay up-to-date with AWS pricing models, services, and billing-related features.
