Job Description

Position Summary AVP (Sales) at NxtWave is a pivotal leadership role at the intersection of sales performance, lead quality and cross-functional alignment. The role is responsible for ensuring a consistent pipeline of high-quality leads, driving effective lead utilization, and supporting the sales team in achieving monthly revenue targets. This position involves leading a large sales team, working closely with the sales function to ensure leads are effectively converted, and continuously improving systems for lead distribution and process efficiency. The AVP will also play a key role in training, motivating, and enabling the sales team, while collaborating with multiple teams to ensure fair and strategic target setting across the board. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of managers and front-line lead qualification, across multiple locations. Design and implement lead assignment system to ensure efficient utilisation of leads across the funnel Drive the overall lead journey process, ensuring timely and high-quality handoff of leads to the sales team. Work closely with Lead Generation and Lead qualification teams to forecast monthly lead volumes and align region- and channel-wise plans. Install and stabilize scalable processes that can adapt to shifting sales priorities without compromising lead quality. Monitor performance metrics and continuously optimize throughput and team productivity. Act as the coordination point between sales and lead-gen teams, bringing clarity and predictability to lead flows. Develop managerial talent within the team and build a high-performance culture rooted in accountability and ownership. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is preferred. Minimum of 10+ years of experience in sales, with at least 6 years in a senior leadership role within the edtech or a related industry. Demonstrated success in driving significant revenue growth and achieving sales targets in a competitive, fast-paced market. In-depth knowledge of the Indian edtech landscape, including market trends, customer preferences, and competitive strategies. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills. Ability to blend strategic vision with tactical execution, leading by example and driving results. Frugal mindset with a focus on resource optimization and efficiency.
