Automotive Service Advisor

Responsibilities

Oversee Timely Repairs & Maintenance: Ensure all vehicles are maintained in optimal condition through regular inspections, scheduled maintenance, and prompt repairs to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.

Coordinate Vehicle Procurement and Refurbishment: Collaborate with procurement teams to acquire new vehicles as per organizational requirements. Oversee the refurbishment process of existing vehicles to extend their lifespan and improve performance.

Monitor Vehicle Insurance: Manage vehicle insurance policies, ensuring all vehicles are adequately insured and premiums are paid on time. Facilitate claims processing in case of accidents or damages.

Ensure Compliance: Stay updated on industry regulations and standards related to vehicle maintenance, safety, and environmental compliance. Ensure all vehicles meet regulatory requirements and standards.

Manage Maintenance Budget: Develop and manage the budget for repairs and maintenance activities. Monitor expenditures to ensure cost-effective operations while maintaining quality standards.

Supervise Maintenance Staff: Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians and mechanics. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.

Implement Maintenance Procedures: Establish and implement standardized procedures for vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repair processes. Continuously evaluate and improve maintenance workflows for efficiency and effectiveness.

Maintain Records and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance history, repairs, inspections, and related documentation. Generate reports as required for management review and decision-making.

Coordinate with Other Departments: Collaborate with fleet management, operations, and procurement teams to ensure seamless coordination of vehicle maintenance activities with overall organizational objectives.

Identify Improvement Opportunities: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and performance optimization in the repairs and maintenance function. Implement appropriate strategies and initiatives to achieve desired outcomes.
