Automotive Service Advisor – Job DescriptionPosition Overview: The Automotive Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact between customers and the workshop. The role involves understanding customer concerns, preparing accurate job cards, coordinating with technicians, and ensuring timely and quality service delivery. A Service Advisor must maintain high levels of customer satisfaction, communication, and service quality. Key Responsibilities:Customer Interaction & Job Booking Greet customers and understand their service requirements. Record customer complaints accurately and prepare job cards. Offer service recommendations based on vehicle condition and history. Explain service packages, estimates, and repair timelines. Workshop Coordination Communicate job requirements to technicians clearly. Ensure repair quality by coordinating road tests and quality checks. Monitor job progress and ensure timely service delivery. Documentation & Billing Prepare service estimates and obtain customer approvals. Update job status in the system and maintain service records. Generate final invoices and explain the bill to customers. Customer Satisfaction Provide updates on vehicle status during the service process. Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally. Conduct post-service follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction. Sales & Targets Promote value-added services, AMC packages, and accessories. Meet monthly service targets and contribute to workshop revenue. Vehicle Handling pickup drop from customers place Assist in vehicle inspection, test drives, and delivery briefing. Ensure cleanliness and proper handling of customer vehicles. Skills & Qualities:Strong communication and customer-handling skills Technical knowledge of bikes/cars and service processes Ability to explain repairs in simple language Good coordination and multitasking abilities Basic computer proficiency (billing & job card systems) Professional attitude and customer-first mindset
