Automotive Segment Specialist

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Segment Expertise & Business Development
- Maintain deep expertise in automotive industry trends and machining applications.
- Identify and analyse business opportunities within the automotive segment to drive strategic growth.
- Develop and implement customer-centric component solutions that align with Dormer Pramet s competitive strengths.
Sales Enablement & Field Support
- Act as the technical authority for Dormer Pramet s automotive offering, supporting sales teams across regions.
- Collaborate with sales to identify opportunities, deliver compelling customer presentations, and enhance value propositions.
- Conduct training sessions to upskill global sales teams and enhance organizational knowledge of the automotive segment.
Project Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, and R&D teams to ensure alignment with customer expectations.
- Utilize CRM tools to manage and track customer-focused initiatives, ensuring timely and effective execution.
Product Portfolio Development
- Provide market insights and customer feedback to guide product development and innovation.
- Define product requirements and specifications for new offerings.
- Participate in R&D initiatives to ensure new products meet evolving customer needs.
Data Reporting & Insights
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support sales performance tracking and strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, relevance, and usability.
- Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for business growth.
Candidate Profile - Minimum Requirements:
5-10+ years of experience in the metal machining industry, with at least 5 years in sales or applications.
Proven expertise in automotive machining applications.
Demonstrated success in business development and strategic planning.
Strong cross-functional project management skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
Willingness to travel up to 50%, both domestically and internationally.
