Job Title: QA Automation Engineer Location: Mohali Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Level: Mid level Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our quality assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure product quality and performance. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to identify and resolve issues throughout the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar. Develop and maintain robust test frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing. Collaborate with development and product teams to understand features and technical implementation. Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies. Identify, document, and track software defects in a clear and concise manner. Contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Perform root cause analysis of test failures and report issues with detailed logs. Maintain and improve code coverage across test suites. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. [2–5]+ years of experience in QA Automation or software testing. Strong knowledge of automation testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, Playwright). Experience with scripting languages like JavaScript, Python, or Java. Proficient in writing SQL queries and validating data in relational databases. Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Rest Assured). Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have): Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner). Exposure to BDD/TDD methodologies and tools like Cucumber or SpecFlow. Experience in testing cloud-based applications (AWS, Azure, etc.). Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
