About the Role:

A fast-growing, remote-first company is seeking an Automation & Outbound Systems Consultant for a short-term remote consulting engagements. You will help design and validate a real-world approach for discovering relevant profiles at scale from public sources and running structured, high-quality outbound workflows on top of them. This role is ideal for someone who has already built or operated such systems (internal tools, agency stack, or product) and can clearly explain trade-offs, patterns, and pitfalls.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Walk the team through how you have previously set up automated profile-discovery and list-building pipelines from the open web.
  • Oversee the current matching and sourcing plan and suggest concrete improvements for crawling, enrichment, scoring, and prioritization of profiles.
  • Outline and refine a practical stack for automated or semi-automated outbound (email-first; optional secondary channels) including queues, templates, sequencing, and tracking.
  • Help define safe and compliant approaches for using public web data (search/X-ray, scraping, rate limits, respect for ToS and privacy norms).


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience building or operating automated outbound or prospecting systems (recruitment tech, sales engagement, growth engineering, or similar).
  • Hands-on exposure to at least one of:
  • Internal tools or platforms for large-scale profile discovery and list generation, or
  • Growth / outbound platforms (cold email tools, prospecting automation, CRM/sequence tools).
  • Practical experience with web data acquisition: search/X-ray queries, scraping/fetching, or working with 3rd-party data providers.
  • Strong understanding of email deliverability basics (domains, limits, warming, unsubscribe/opt out handling).
  • Ability to communicate clearly, structure processes, and document recommendations so a small team can implement them.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior work on profile-based outbound in contexts like hiring, partnerships, sales, or community growth (not just generic list buying).
  • Familiarity with LLMs or intelligent ranking/scoring used to decide whom to contact first.
  • Experience integrating with tools like Zapier/n8n, email providers (SES/SendGrid/Mailgun), or CRM/sequence systems.
  • Comfort discussing trade-offs between full automation vs. human-in-the-loop review and quality control.
