Automation Engineer – PLC/DCS

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and commission

    PLC

    (Programmable Logic Controller) and

    DCS

    (Distributed Control Systems) for industrial automation.
  • Program and modify control logic using platforms such as

    Honeywell

    ,

    Siemens

    ,

    Allen-Bradley

    , etc.
  • Troubleshoot control systems to ensure stable and reliable plant operations.
  • Collaborate with instrumentation, electrical, and process teams to implement automation solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation including

    control logic diagrams

    ,

    functional design specifications

    , and

    loop diagrams

    .
  • Participate in

    FAT/SAT

    (Factory / Site Acceptance Testing) and system validation processes.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance for efficiency and reliability.
  • Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance teams.
  • Ensure all activities adhere to safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in

    Electrical

    ,

    Instrumentation

    ,

    Automation

    , or related engineering discipline.
  • 2–3 years of practical experience in

    PLC/DCS programming

    , configuration, and commissioning.
  • Solid understanding of control system architecture and communication protocols such as

    Modbus

    ,

    Profibus

    ,

    Ethernet/IP

    ,

    OPC

    , etc.
  • Experience in

    HMI/SCADA

    development is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret

    electrical schematics

    and

    P&ID

    drawings.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards.
  • Willingness to travel to project and site locations as required.
