About the Role

Assistant Brand Marketing Manager


Key Responsibilities


Branding & Communication

  • Support the development and execution of brand campaigns that strengthen Great Lakes’ positioning and visibility.
  • Create high-quality, engaging content for digital channels — social media, website, emailers, videos, and internal communication.
  • Collaborate with faculty, alumni, and corporate partners to craft thought leadership stories and institutional narratives.
  • Ensure brand consistency and tone of voice across all marketing touchpoints.

Content & Strategy

  • Work with the Brand team to conceptualize and plan monthly content calendars and thematic campaigns.
  • Research trends in management education and audience behavior to guide messaging and creative direction.
  • Support storytelling initiatives around research, events, rankings, alumni success, and institutional impact.
  • Contribute ideas for digital storytelling formats — short videos, reels, blogs, interviews, and campaigns.

Program Marketing Content

  • Assist in program-specific marketing for select offerings (e.g., Fellow Program in Management, Executive Education, or PG programs).
  • Create content tailored to each program’s audience — prospective students, professionals, or corporate partners.

Stakeholder & Agency Management

  • Liaise with creative and digital agencies for campaign briefs, content production, and deliverable timelines.
  • Partner with internal teams — design, admissions, academics, alumni relations — to ensure alignment and timely execution.
  • Track ongoing campaigns and maintain reports on engagement and content performance.


Minimum Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in brand communication, content marketing, or digital strategy.
  • Proven ability to write and edit compelling content across formats and audiences.
  • Experience coordinating with creative or digital agencies for content or campaigns.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of social media, website CMS, and email marketing tools.

Desirable Requirements

  • Prior experience in education, edtech, or corporate communication.
  • Understanding of long-cycle program marketing or thought leadership content.
  • Basic knowledge of analytics or campaign tracking for content performance.
