Job Description

As an Associate Project Manager at Hitachi Energy, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Project Manager in the execution of medium to large size projects. Your responsibilities will include: - Supporting the Project Manager in defining execution guidelines, allocating project tasks, and motivating and monitoring internal and external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones. - Involving along with the Finance, Quality, Engineering, and Planning departments in developing project plan documents, including scope and financial plans, schedule, and risk management plans. - Ensuring that the project follows execution best practices and Hitachi Energy policies, monitoring and controlling project progress, and resource utilization efficiently. - Reviewing the status of critical suppliers" progress and including it in the overall schedule. - Monitoring and controlling project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow. Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, and managing project risks, and pursuing all opportunities. - Capturing, analyzing, and sharing lessons learned throughout the project. Ensuring the formal closure of the project as contractually agreed. - Consistently applying contract and claims management in accordance with Hitachi Energy policies and contractual agreements. - Coordinating with Supply Chain Management and procuring required services, materials, and equipment for the project. Supporting supplier negotiations, claims, and project changes. - Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicating with all stakeholders. Your background should include: - A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 8+ years of experience in Project Management, Project Engineering, or Customer Support. - Involvement in the execution of multiple HV Substations in the project life cycle. - Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. - Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to collaborate, coordinate, and resolve project-related activities and issues. - Knowledge of Project Management skills such as critical path and risk identification and mitigation. - Self-motivation, leadership, and negotiation skills. - Proficiency in both spoken and written English. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
