Role Description Trade Operations – Securities and Repo Key Responsibilities Exp-6 months to 2yrs Location - Chennai Ensure all assigned transactions and tasks are completed accurately and on time. Follow up or escalate issues as needed. Effectively manage workload and prioritize tasks, raising concerns with senior team members when appropriate. Assist in resolving stock or cash mismatches; escalate unresolved issues based on criteria such as age, value, or client sensitivity. Take ownership of additional responsibilities and deliver assigned projects within agreed timeframes. Communicate clearly and promptly with clients and stakeholders, providing professional and timely responses. Adhere to internal policies and procedures, and report any risks or concerns transparently. Support and contribute to initiatives that drive efficiency, reduce risks, lower costs, or enhance service quality. Foster a collaborative and positive team environment. Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, portfolio managers, dealers, and external partners to ensure smooth daily operations. Skills And Behaviours Required Willingness to continuously learn and deepen knowledge of transaction services and operational processes. Ability to plan and manage your own workload, even when priorities change, under the guidance of a Team Leader or Senior Analyst. Confident in making routine decisions and proactive in seeking support when faced with complex or unfamiliar situations. Timely identification and clear reporting of issues—ideally on the same day of discovery. The Knowledge, Experience And Qualifications You Need Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. The Knowledge, Experience And Qualifications That Will Help Exposure to derivatives and collateral management. Experience across asset classes including equities, fixed income (including ABS/MBS), FX, money markets, unit trusts, repos, and term deposits. Background in cash operations, particularly in processing payments. Familiarity with SWIFT messaging standards. Understanding of corporate actions, including both mandatory and voluntary events, and income processing. Experience using the Aladdin platform. Awareness of operational risks throughout the transaction and asset servicing lifecycle.
