About The Opportunity
- Experience in Concept, Basic/FEED and Detail Engineering projects in Water, Waste water, Infrastructure and Aviation Projects.
- Technically competent in all aspects of electrical engineering.
- Experience in development of power system studies (e.g. Load flow, short circuit, transient stability analysis and Relay co-ordination); design of HV, LV power distribution systems for electrical networks, Load List, Single line diagrams, schematics wiring diagrams, Switchyard & Substation design, Emergency Power design, HV & LV Cable sizing, all equipment sizing like Transformer, Switchgear, Capacitor bank, UPS & Battery sizing etc, Cable tray/Cable routing layouts, underground duct design, indoor & outdoor lighting design and layout, Earthing and lightning protection design, Solar & Wind power, Electrical equipment specifications/datasheets, appraisal of vendor bids for electrical equipment, review and approve Vendor drawings etc.
- Proficient with Gas Insulated Switchgears, Ring Main units, Compact Substations etc.
- Experience in Electrical SCADA and Lighting SCADA system.
- Conversant with International and National industry Standards and Codes like NEMA, IEC, IEEE, NEC, IS and Codes for Electrical items and systems
- Proficient with ETAP, SKM and DIAlux software
- Working Experience in United States, Middle East and Australia Water and Waste Water projects are desirable
- Working knowledge in AutoCAD and Revit 3D model are desirable.

- Review RFP (Request for Proposal) documents received during bidding stage, issue inquiry requisitions, and prepare Manhour and Cost Estimation.
- Ensure all work carried out conforms with agreed codes and practices, meets all requirements of the contracts specification and ensure all work is carried out within agreed schedules, budgets and procedures in safe manner Coordination, guidance, mentoring, and supervision for design and engineering.
- Co-ordinate, interface and provide inputs to other discipline
- Contributing to the development of the team's business by preparing bids and proposals, making/attending presentations to clients and prospective clients and carrying out any other required marketing activity.
- May work independently on special assignments or as part of a working team
- Oversee development of tools needed for continuous improvement of work process
- Contributing to team workshops and discussions; sharing of knowledge with other team members
- Working within the company's quality-assured delivery processes and delivering output to the required level of quality.
- Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and ensuring that all contacts with our customers leave them delighted to be working with Jacobs.
- Assist as required, in the development of department standards and procedures.
- Travel as required to ensure the successful execution of project goals.
Minimum Requirements
Education – Minimum Bachelor of Engineering degree in ElectricalExperience Minimum 6-12 years Experience preferably working in Water, Wastewater, Utility Corridor Development/Smart city infrastructure and Aviation Projects.At Jacobs we value people.
