Job Description

As the Head of Modern Trade & CSD business in India, your role involves driving sales, financial management, annual business planning, and relationship management. You are responsible for ensuring stock planning and fill rate levels to meet the top-line sales objective. Your duties include interacting with Brand Teams to develop business plans aligned with brand strategy and managing customer-wise profitability with Modern Trade & CSD. You must establish a model to measure each account's profitability and ensure cost-efficient resource utilization. Key Responsibilities: - Drive sales and financial management including managing individual account/business P&L and SG&A - Lead annual business planning, review, and relationship management - Ensure stock planning, fill rate levels, and top-line sales objective achievement - Interact with Brand Teams for business plan development and stock availability - Manage customer-wise profitability and establish a profitability measurement model - Efficiently utilize resources including manpower and maximize returns for ANI - Ensure collection for direct customers as per company norms and facilitate indirect customers" collection - Drive Category Management with Modern Trade and conduct shopper studies - Develop a strategic business plan covering margins, visibility, exclusive SKU strategy, and activation activities - Explore enhancing the product portfolio with exclusive SKUs and international brands - Setup and manage a high-performing team for Modern Trade & CSD - Develop competencies of the Sales Team, implement strong training programs, and have a succession plan - Implement world-class processes for handling Modern Trade & CSD - Provide strategic inputs on Modern Trade potential, changing trade scenarios, and structure within the organization - Liaise with global business coordinators and manage global Vs Indian operations sensitivities - Organize Top to Top meetings with major retailers and manage industry interfaces - Anticipate trends in the retail industry and ensure internal systems are geared to meet evolving retail environment - Manage SG&A, allocate funds within accounts, and control spends and budgets Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of experience in managing a team in a reputed FMCG Company in Sales/Marketing function - Extensive knowledge of marketing, brand plans, distribution, logistics management, financial and legal regulations - Strong networking and customer management skills - Ability to handle pressure in a dynamic environment - Sharp negotiation and influencing skills - Strong account and industry relationships within Modern Trade and CSD Additionally, you should have a good grasp of distribution and logistics management, financial and legal regulations, networking skills, customer management orientation, and the ability to handle pressure in a dynamic environment.
