Job Description

The Capacity Planning function sits in the Operations department of Pearson VUE. The Associate Capacity Planning Analyst (Events) role is responsible for managing the events process including forecasting, capacity planning, communicating with various internal teams to coordinate capacity, creating schedule data, entering it into the testing system, and auditing. The Associate Capacity Planning Analyst (Events) is also responsible to ensure that all client and candidate expectations are met. The role will serve as the conduit between client-facing teams and test centre teams, offering strategic capacity planning advice with the goal of increasing utilisation and increased the volume of testing to the benefit of Pearson VUE and the third party partners.

Key Activities

80% Capacity Management

  • Assist with annual and ongoing client event planning process. Perform associated client data analysis.
  • Identify sites to deliver events
  • Foster relationships with test delivery partners in order to build long term mutually beneficial improvements
  • Search out areas to focus the team’s experience and knowledge with a view to making the most impact
  • Provide guidance to test center teams to assist them to increase efficiency and throughput
  • Manage test centre schedules and blocks to ensure events are processed correctly
  • Capacity monitoring and auditing
  • Create and maintain documentation of all team tools and processes
  • Assist with the development and continuous improvement of the event testing systems and processes
  • Participate in long- and short-term event planning, scheduling and blocking projects

Data Analysis and Reporting Management

  • Work with Program Managers to determine the needs of clients for reports and assist them in providing information or determine requirements for any enhancements.
  • Coordinate team projects for client and site analysis. Provide Program Managers and Regional Test Center Managers with summary of information and status or communicate changes.
  • Determine and adjust testing centre schedules for events and communicate with partners

  • Knowledge of Pearson VUE and systems and working knowledge of programming methodologies.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Power Platforms including Power BI.
  • Thorough knowledge and demonstrable understanding of the end-to-end capacity management and planning process
