The Opportunity
The Assistant Vice President (AVP) is an individual who is a leader and self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills. In this role, the AVP is responsible for delivering results and execution of business strategy. This role requires the individual to collaborate with India and U.S. stakeholders to deeply understand business needs and to develop implementation plan that is in alignment with the goals and objectives of the organization.
- Liaising regularly with key business partners to understand global business strategy, needs, and expectations. Develop plans to execute business strategies that assist business leaders in accomplishing their goals and objectives with local operations.
- Effective team leadership and communication; managing, monitoring, and coaching line managers through ongoing formal and informal communication and ensuring that information is communicated throughout the division.
- Establishing and monitoring business metrics, taking corrective actions where necessary, and ensuring delivery of KPIs.
- Collaborating with the Transformation team to evaluate the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and applying improvements on an ongoing basis, proposing enhancements to India and U.S stakeholders, and owning their satisfactory execution.
- Working with business leaders and Berkadia’s People team to achieve desired results for employee engagement, satisfaction, productivity, retention, and talent acquisition.
- Successfully implement corporate initiatives and development programs in congruence with Berkadia’s change management approach and People strategy.
- Creating an environment that motivates employees, ensuring they are fully aware of what is expected of them and recognizing their successes.
- Driving rapid and strategically aligned operational improvements to ensure on-time delivery aligned with the customers’ expectations, and with most effective use of resources.
Enabling the team to overcome hurdles and encouraging them to try new ideas and suggest process and technology improvements to increase efficiency.
Your Qualification
- Any bachelor’s degree
- Over all 12 years of experience with at least 8 years into people leader role
