Job Description

The Assistant Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth in the health insurance segment by managing a team of sales executives, developing business strategies, building strong relationships with channel partners and clients, and ensuring achievement of monthly and annual sales targets. Key Responsibilities:1. Sales & Business Development Achieve sales targets for individual and team in assigned territory. Identify new business opportunities and potential customer segments. Promote and sell health insurance products through direct, corporate, and channel sales. Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, agents, and intermediaries. 2. Team Management Recruit, train, and motivate sales executives or advisors. Monitor team performance and provide guidance for improvement. Conduct regular review meetings and performance tracking. 3. Market & Product Knowledge Stay updated with competitor products, market trends, and customer preferences. Provide feedback to management on product development and marketing strategies. 4. Customer Relationship Management Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. Handle client queries and resolve complaints in a timely manner. Maintain long-term relationships through regular follow-ups. 5. Reporting & Documentation Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain proper documentation for all sales activities. Required Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred). 1-3 years of experience in health insurance sales or financial services. Proven track record of achieving sales targets. Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
