Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team in Chennai, India. As an integral part of our management team, you will help oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain high standards of food quality and safety.

  • Assist in managing and overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with operational standards, procedures, and brand guidelines
  • Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to develop weekly staff schedules and daily team floor plans
  • Participate in hiring, training, and providing ongoing communication to staff to deliver quality service to guests
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards
  • Handle customer feedback promptly and professionally
  • Conduct daily briefings with staff in each shift, reviewing occupancy forecasts, reservations, special requests, and other relevant information
  • Analyze clientele mix, seasonal periods, and festivities to make recommendations for competitive analysis and budgeting purposes
  • Coordinate with the Chef and other departments for special promotions, ensuring staff awareness and encouraging upselling
  • Attend all briefings, meetings, and training sessions as assigned by management
  • Perform other duties as directed by senior management
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the F&B/Hospitality industry
  • Proven leadership and motivational skills with the ability to lead and inspire a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Excellent supervisory and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a keen eye for quality control
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and industry best practices
  • Proficiency in restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems
  • Customer service-oriented with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences
  • Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred (not required)
  • ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety certification is a plus
