Assistant Purchasing Manager

As an Assistant Manager of Purchase & Stores at Svenska Design Hotels, a European chain of boutique hotels from Sweden located in a 5-star Luxury Hotel in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, you will have the following key responsibilities: - Procurement & Vendor Management: Your role will involve sourcing, negotiating, and maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness. - Inventory & Stores Management: You will be tasked with maintaining optimal stock levels, overseeing storage conditions, and preventing shortages or overstocking. - Cost Control & Budgeting: Implementing cost-saving strategies while ensuring high-quality procurement will be a key part of your responsibilities. - Compliance & Documentation: You will need to ensure adherence to procurement policies, maintain accurate records, and manage purchase orders efficiently. - Quality Assurance: Verifying product quality and standards before acceptance will be crucial in this role. - Market Research: Keeping yourself updated on market trends and identifying new supplier opportunities will be expected. - Departmental Coordination: Working closely with F&B, housekeeping, engineering, and other teams to meet operational needs is essential for success. To qualify for this role, you should have: - A Bachelor's degree/diploma in supply chain, procurement, business administration, or hotel management. - Experience in hotel purchasing, stores management, and vendor negotiations. - Strong analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills. - Proficiency in procurement & inventory management software.
