Job Description

Position: Assistant Professor – Human Resources
Location: DRIEMS University
Reports To: Dean / Head of Department (Management)

Job Summary:
The Assistant Professor – HR will be responsible for teaching, research, and academic leadership in the Human Resources / Management department. The candidate will deliver high-quality instruction, mentor students, engage in research, and contribute to curriculum development.

Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching & Curriculum Development

  • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in HR, OB, and related management subjects.
  • Develop and update course materials, case studies, and teaching strategies.
  • Incorporate experiential learning, simulations, and industry practices.
  • Guide students on projects, internships, and research assignments.

2. Research & Publications

  • Conduct research in HR, OB, and management fields.
  • Publish in reputed journals and participate in conferences.
  • Collaborate on interdisciplinary research projects.

3. Academic & Departmental Contribution

  • Assist in curriculum design and academic planning.
  • Mentor students and support faculty development.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, workshops, and seminars.
  • Engage in administrative tasks like student assessment, internship coordination, and accreditation processes.

4. Industry Collaboration & Extension

  • Build and maintain relationships with industry for guest lectures, internships, and placements.
  • Organize workshops, seminars, and executive education programs.
  • Contribute to community outreach and professional development initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA / PGDM in Human Resources . Ph.D. preferred.
  • Teaching or corporate experience in HR is desirable.
  • Strong research background with publications is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of contemporary HR practices, labor laws, and organizational behavior.
  • Ability to mentor and guide students effectively.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Remuneration

  • As per university norms.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹65,480.36 per month
