Job Description

Role Overview: You will be playing a vital role as an Assistant / Deputy Manager in Procurement at Hyva Group. Your main responsibility will be to serve as the Commodity Buyer for various categories such as Sheetmetal, Fabrication, Capex, Paint, Electrical, Imports, Rubber & Plastic. Your role will involve minimizing overall purchasing costs for Hyva India while ensuring the quality and reliability of the supplies. You will need to have a strategic understanding of the supply base market and effectively plan, direct, and monitor all procurement activities to meet Hyva India's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply. Key Responsibilities: - Develop expert knowledge in the management of all strategic sourcing activities in respective categories on regional/global commodities. - Purchase materials, supplies, and services by developing, soliciting, and analyzing supplier quotations. - Coordinate activities with other departments to assure proper delivery, quality, reliability, and low-cost consistency. - Define and enforce strategies and policies concerning your categories. - Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders including Design, Supply chain, SQ&D & quality teams, and support functions. - Analyze market trends and systems technology related to the job and work closely with the Global team and Engineering to recommend new product developments. - Manage supply base by identifying, evaluating, approving & developing strategic suppliers. - Elaborate & execute the process & systems strategy and roadmap. - Sign off Long Term Purchasing Agreements and Framework agreements based on Hyva Purchasing Documents. - Work on supplier management strategy and develop continuous improvement plans. - Monitor commodity-impacting market trends and establish insights for strategy development and risk mitigation. - Lead cost-out direct material initiatives and manage monthly or quarterly supplier reviews. - Develop long-term supplier relationships through regular performance reviews and drive cost improvements. - Keep costing sheets for all raw materials and monitor them regularly. - Ensure 100% system compliance to ISO and Global Purchasing Policies. Qualifications Required: To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications: - Graduate Engineer preferably in mechanical or automobile with 6-8 years of experience in Sourcing/Procurement function in the auto component or capital equipment Industry. - Very good understanding of various commodities like Sheetmetal, Fabrication, Capex, Paint, Electrical, Imports, Rubber & Plastic. - Knowledge of Program management will be an added advantage. - Techno Commercial expertise. - Exposure to Microsoft Office and ERP. - Good communication and negotiation skills. - High achievement orientation.
