Profile - Assistant Manager – Production Planning & Control (PPC)

Qualification - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Production Engineering or equivalent

Experience - Min. 5+ years of experience in Production Planning & Control in a manufacturing setup

Salary - Upto 60k + Food & Accommodation

Location - Mundra (Guj)

Job Summary

To plan, schedule, and monitor production activities to ensure optimal utilization of resources, timely delivery, and alignment with customer requirements. The role also involves coordination with cross-functional teams and implementing best practices in production planning and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on sales forecasts and customer orders.

* Coordinate with procurement, stores, and production teams to ensure availability of raw materials and components.

* Monitor production performance against plan and take corrective actions to minimize delays.

* Optimize resource allocation (manpower, machines, and materials) to maximize efficiency and reduce downtime.

* Maintain and update production schedules in ERP or production planning software.

* Analyze work order variances and support root cause analysis for delays or quality issues.

* Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for planning processes.

* Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels without overstocking or stockouts.

* Liaise with the Quality and Maintenance departments to ensure seamless production flow.

* Prepare reports and dashboards on production performance, capacity utilization, and order status.

* Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and 5S methodologies.

SKILLS

* Strong knowledge of production planning and control in a manufacturing environment

* Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen principles

* Knowledge of local and national transportation regulations and documentation (E-Way Bill, GST invoices, etc.).
