KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
The key area of accountability required will be as follows:
- Career Awareness: Introduce students to various career options across different fields and industries.
- Individual Guidance: Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions to help students identify their strengths, interests, aptitudes, and career goals.
- Academic Planning: Assist students in selecting appropriate subjects and academic streams based on their career interests.
- Skill Development: Provide guidance on essential life and career skills, such as communication, goal setting, time management, and decision-making.
- Information Sharing: Keep students and parents informed about colleges, entrance exams, scholarships, and career trends.
- Support Students in Overcoming Social or Behavioral Challenges: Deliver structured classroom guidance sessions and offer one-on-one counselling to help students understand and overcome social, emotional, or behavioral issues that may affect their academic performance or personal development. Foster a supportive environment that promotes mental well-being and personal growth.
- Educate Students on Resume Building, Interview Skills, and Professional Etiquette: Teach students how to create effective resumes, write cover letters, and prepare for interviews. Emphasize the importance of professionalism, communication, and workplace etiquette to prepare them for real-world opportunities.
- Provide Support for the Smooth Functioning of the STEM Lab: Ensure the effective and efficient operation of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Lab. Monitor student participation and proper use of equipment, while fostering an engaging, inclusive, and inquiry-based learning environment. Additionally, assist in organizing STEM-related events, workshops, and exhibitions to further enrich students' learning experiences.
- Ensure the Smooth Functioning of the Library: Support the effective day-to-day operations of the school library by maintaining an organized, welcoming, and resource-rich environment that encourages reading, and independent learning. Collaborate with teachers to integrate library use into the academic curriculum and ensure the library supports both academic and recreational needs.
- Strengthening ECO Club Members: The ASF will actively support the activities of ECO Club members by guiding them in planning, organizing, and implementing environmental awareness and action-based initiatives. They will assist students in conducting eco-friendly campaigns, cleanliness drives, tree plantation activities, and sustainability workshops, while also encouraging creativity and leadership among members. The ASF will help integrate environmental education into club activities, promote collaboration with the wider school or community, and ensure that all efforts align with the club’s objectives of fostering environmental responsibility and climate-conscious behavior among youth.
- English Speaking Sessions for 9th to 12th grade students: The candidate will conduct regular English-speaking sessions within the school for students of 9th to 12th grade to improve their spoken English skills, build confidence, and enhance their ability to communicate effectively in academic and professional settings. Sessions will be interactive and include activities such as group discussions, role plays, storytelling, and vocabulary games. Emphasis will be placed on practical usage, correct pronunciation, and fluency. The sessions will be designed to suit the students’ current skill levels, and progress will be monitored through regular feedback and simple assessments. This initiative aims to help students become more confident and better prepared for higher education and future job opportunities.
- Maintain Regular Communication with the Project Manager: Provide daily and weekly performance updates to the Project Manager, highlighting progress, outcomes, and challenges. Collaborate in reviewing activities, identifying gaps, and implementing improvements to ensure program effectiveness and alignment with project goals.
- Submit Weekly/Monthly Work Plans to the Project Lead: Prepare and share detailed weekly and monthly work plans. The work plan will serve as a roadmap for tracking progress and ensuring alignment with the overall project objectives.
- Prepare and Submit Regular Reports: Maintain accurate records of all counselling sessions, workshops, outreach events, and student engagements. Submit timely and comprehensive reports to the Project Lead.
- Undertake Additional Responsibilities as Assigned by the Project Lead: Be flexible and open to taking on additional duties or responsibilities that may arise during the course of the project.
Qualifications
- Master or Graduate in social work, education or any discipline from a recognized university or college is essential. Weightage will be given to women candidates with sound knowledge on Education
- She must have good English communication skills and demonstrate confidence as an effective speaker
Experience And Skills
Candidate having at least 2-5 years’ experience in the School Based programs working with NGO/School/Community/Govt & in the sector of working with children, youth, mothers and teachers at the grass root level can apply for the post.
