Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager

1. Role & responsibilities

• Candidate has to oversee import operations, manage documentation such as bills of lading and customs declarations, and ensure regulatory compliance with international trade laws and tariffs.
• They coordinate logistics with freight forwarders, and customs brokers to manage shipments and resolve issues like customs holds or delays .

• Manage all stages of the import process from initial pickup to final delivery till factoy
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and ensure adherence to all local and international customs regulations and trade agreements.
• Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other third-party logistics providers to facilitate smooth shipment and customs clearance.
• Handle and resolve any issues that arise during the import process, such as customs clearance delays or documentation errors.
• Track import activities and report on performance metrics, including cost savings and process improvements.
• Analyze import data and trends to identify opportunities for reducing costs and improving operational efficiency.
• In-depth knowledge of local and international customs regulations and procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle complex import processes
