Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager

Operational Responsibilities

• Perform timely month-end closing activities including Timely closure of Sub-Ledger, Provisions for Bad Debts, Write-offs, Provisions for Discounts, Debtor’s revaluation, Revenue Recognition activities.
• Obtain periodic customer balance confirmations, perform account reconciliations, and address customer queries
• Produce monthly AR Specific financial and management reports
• Investigating and resolving any irregularities or enquiries
• Follow up on balance confirmations
• Prepare Accounts Receivable (AR) ageing monthly reports
• Create standard AR MIS reports for stakeholders (Examples - Top 10 overdue customers, DSO Report, Customer profitability, etc.)
• Upload bank reports into D365 to facilitate matching of invoices and payments (wherever non-automated)
• Responsible for receiving payments and applying the cash against customer balances
• Constant monitoring of unapplied cash receipts and follow up with customers/banks to resolve discrepancies (E.g., missing invoice no)
• Working with sales team to support intervention on overdue items
• Support in dunning/customer dispute management
• Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors
• Accurate computation & posting of incentives
• Accurate computation of discounts
• Accurate computation of commissions
• Support reporting of discounts/incentives/commissions.

• Display good team player skills
• Responsible for own learning and development with guidance from OTC lead
• Support the OTC Lead & process excellence teams in various process improvement and efficient initiatives
• Assist with both internal and external audits to ensure complete, timely and accurate responses to information requests
• Ensure error-resolution is performed to high standards, within reasonable timeframes, and with the end-user satisfaction in mind
• Accountable for meeting and prioritizing own targets and improving performance by focusing on self-learning
• Participate in functional and technical training
• Ensure complying with KPIs for the team
• Ensure a ‘customer centric’ and ‘partnership approach’ to develop strong relationships with other working groups
• Effective communication of issues across the FSS and working groups
• Provide information to the Lead on work accomplishments, problems, progress in work processes, individuals, and team needs
• Provide quality service/ advice in accordance with agreed service standards.
  

Educational Background

• Bachelor’s in Commerce / Finance / Accounting
  

Experience

• Minimum 7-8 year of AR Reporting related experience at Bata / in a SSC set up
  

Technical Skill Required To Meet Position Objectives

• Knowledge and experience of ERP system
• Expertise in AR Close & Reporting
• Understanding of mature reporting & visualization solutions, preferably Power BI
• Strong understanding of accounting processes.
• Knowledge of reporting tools
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills especially MS Excel.

• Ability to be flexible with job duties and scope of work
• The Placement will be at Gurgaon Office
• Fluency in Hindi, English and local language, if necessary (both written and oral)
• Fluency in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada
