Job Description

  • BUSINESS: Animal Nutrition

DEPARTMENT: Sales & Marketing
TRAVEL: Moderate to Extensive
LOCATION: Indore

JOB OVERVIEW

  • The incumbent will serve as a subject matter expert in the animal health & nutrition portfolio and will contribute through deep understanding of market dynamics, growing market share, improving customer base, and driving revenue growth.
  • S/he will work with the sales team and other stakeholders with the objective of customer retention and customer base expansion.
  • Responsible for coordination with the regional/zonal head and other key stakeholders in the domestic market to maintain competitiveness.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

  • Reports To: Business Head – Animal Nutrition
  • Direct Reports: No

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION

  • B.V.Sc. and M.V.Sc. in Animal Nutrition or Poultry Science
  • MBA/PGDM would be an added advantage

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in the same industry
  • Deep understanding of poultry feed, feed formulation, and customer dynamics

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve assigned monthly and quarterly revenue goals
  • Keep close track of key account business development
  • Provide product training and support to the Sales Team for effective product promotion
  • Conduct market analysis and monitor market share
  • Review and revise product features and benefits to ensure a competitive sales approach
  • Conduct product trials and design product trial protocols
  • Conduct primary and secondary market surveys as required
  • Undertake field visits to meet customers along with the sales team
  • Understand customer project requirements and provide appropriate technical solutions
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and channel partners
  • Organize technical seminars and training sessions for clients and the sales team
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and customer feedback in the region
  • Ensure timely collection of payments and coordinate with the accounts team
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, project progress, and sales activities
