Oversee end-to-end
procurement operations
for raw materials, components, and consumables used in LV/MV cable manufacturing.
Manage vendor development, negotiation, price finalization, and procurement planning in line with production schedules.
Lead and guide the
purchase team
, ensuring timely ordering, inventory control, and adherence to internal procurement policies.
Identify reliable suppliers for conductors, insulation materials, sheathing compounds, and cable accessories.
Monitor and evaluate supplier performance on cost, quality, and delivery parameters.
Coordinate with stores, quality, and production teams to ensure alignment on material specs and availability.
Ensure documentation accuracy for purchase orders, GRNs, supplier agreements, and audits.
Track market trends, commodity prices, and risks affecting cable raw materials.
Implement cost-saving initiatives and optimize procurement lead times without compromising quality.
Work closely with the management to drive efficiency, accountability, and vendor relationship improvements.

Engineering, Supply Chain, or related fields
(MBA in Materials Management is a plus)
5-8 years
