Responsibilities

• Responsible for leading and managing engineering and project activities for greenfield and brownfield Capex projects across the multi-site API & Formulation manufacturing network, ensuring adherence to P/GEP standards.
• This role involves long-term planning to create and maintain state-of-the-art infrastructure, with a strategic vision and deep understanding of capabilities required for timely delivery of complex Formulation & API manufacturing projects in line with GEP and regulatory requirements.
• Manage design, construction, commissioning, and expansion of pharmaceutical facilities, staying updated on industry standards and innovations.
• Lead conceptual and detailed engineering design for formulation and API projects, including automation, instrumentation, and sustainability integration.
• Drive adoption of advanced technologies, automation, digitization, and eco-friendly practices across projects.
• Plan, execute, and deliver Capex projects, including feasibility studies, scheduling, budgeting, and monitoring to meet quality and financial targets.
• Oversee construction, commissioning, compliance, and qualification activities to ensure regulatory adherence (cGMP, FDA, GAMP).
• Manage vendor qualification and procurement of engineering goods, upholding ethical standards and collaborating with finance and company policies.
• Implement continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, optimize energy use, and reduce environmental impact.
• Identify and roll out companywide technologies to boost efficiency and lower costs.

Desired Skills

• Experience in projects and engineering department in a reputable pharmaceutical organization.
• Knowledge of all regulatory compliances and cGMP & GEP guidelines.
• Good Communication, eye for detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Develop and implement uniform engineering strategies, policies, and procedures across locations to optimize operational performance and ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements. Control engineering costs and ensure they remain within reasonable variance of sanctioned budget (Opex).
• Identify areas of energy conservation, plan propose and drive Energy Conservation projects and initiatives.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
