Job Description

Description

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager-Payroll to join our team. The ideal candidate should have 5-10 years of experience in payroll management and be well-versed in Indian labor laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the entire payroll process, including data entry, processing, and distribution of paychecks
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including tax laws, employment regulations, and labor laws
Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, leave, and overtime
Process employee benefits, including insurance, retirement plans, and bonuses
Prepare reports and analyze payroll data to identify trends and potential issues
Collaborate with HR and accounting departments to ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
5-10 years of experience in payroll management, preferably in an Indian context
In-depth knowledge of Indian labor laws and regulations
Experience with payroll software and systems, such as SAP or Oracle
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and accuracy
