Job Description

Supporting business teams in drafting, vetting and negotiating agreements mainly relating to business development, international business, trusts and other activities. Advising on and structuring agreements to align it with the deal in hand and ensure that the interests of Company are protected. Working with stakeholders at various locations on statutory compliances to ensure necessary statutory compliances are in place. Providing general legal advice and support by acting as a business partner to internal stakeholders. Dealing with internal & external stakeholders. Responsibilities: Agreements - Drafting, structuring, vetting, negotiating and finalizing agreements in line with the business understanding and ensuring appropriate risk mitigation for the Company. Statutory Compliances - Reviewing the statutory compliances at various locations and suggesting remedial measures. Working with concerned stakeholders to ensure remedial measures are put in place in a timely manner. Risk Mitigation - Understanding the business and analysing the risk involved and advising on mitigating liabilities for the Company. Advisory - Advising the stakeholders from time to time on various issues. Educational Qualifications LL.B. / LL.M. Knowledge and Skills (Functional / Technical) Drafting, vetting and negotiating various kinds of agreements within India and cross border. Exposure to Statutory Compliances, Litigation and Intellectual Property law would be advantageous. Strong negotiation skills and business and financial acumen. Strong communications and drafting skills, including the ability to draft high quality agreements and other documents. Well-versed in how business operates in high degree of professional ethics, integrity and gravitas. Ability to have influence across all levels of the business including peers and senior management, and able to work independently. Detail-oriented, have good judgement and sound risk mitigating skills. Behavioural Attributes Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent judgement and analytical skills. Other Requirements (License / Certification & Specialized Training) Any other licenses, trainings etc. will be an added advantage. Show more Show less
