Assistant Manager - Logistics

As an Assistant Manager Logistics, you will be responsible for leading logistics operations, optimizing supply chain efficiency, and managing vendor and team performance. You will play a key role in strategic planning and execution of logistics activities to ensure cost control, timely delivery, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and oversee end-to-end logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution. - Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and evaluate service performance. - Monitor KPIs and drive initiatives to improve delivery timelines and reduce logistics costs. - Collaborate with internal departments (sales, procurement, inventory) to align supply chain goals. - Ensure accurate documentation, compliance with regulations, and support audits. - Lead a team of executives, providing training, guidance, and performance management. - Generate reports and dashboards for senior management review. Requirements: - Graduate/Postgraduate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field. - 5-7 years of hands-on logistics experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role. - Strong knowledge of ERP, WMS, and TMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.). - Excellent leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills. - Proven ability to manage complex logistics challenges in a high-volume environment.
