Job Description

As a Manager Finance and Accounts, you will be an integral part of our team with the responsibility of overseeing financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic insights to support business growth. You should possess an entrepreneurial mindset, a strong focus on processes, a team-oriented attitude, and excellent presentation skills. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10-15 years of relevant experience, preferably in the Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) industry. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing accounting operations, developing and implementing internal control policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements. You will lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and variance analysis. Additionally, you will coordinate with external auditors and consultants, provide required documentation, respond to findings, and ensure timely resolution of issues. Furthermore, you will contribute to financial and legal due diligence processes, perform under high-pressure scenarios, assist in the development and implementation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, and monitor budget adherence while optimizing spending alongside department heads. Your role will also involve ensuring alignment with relevant accounting standards, laws, and financial regulations, managing cash flow and liquidity to support day-to-day operations and long-term strategic goals, and designing strategies to mitigate cash flow risks for financial stability. In this position, you will be expected to conduct monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations, handle investor queries, and prepare board-level presentations and financial reports. The qualifications we seek include being a Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10-15 years of experience in a similar leadership role, preferably with prior experience in a startup environment. Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills are essential, along with a proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and create department-specific SOPs in line with accounting standards. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software/tools is also required for this role.,
