Assistant Manager - F&B Service

The job involves assisting in the daily supervision of restaurant operations, including Restaurants/Bars and Room Service if applicable. You will assist with menu planning, maintain sanitation standards, and provide support to servers and hosts during peak meal periods. Your aim will be to enhance guest and employee satisfaction while determining and implementing necessary training to achieve set goals. For this role, you should possess a high school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or a related professional area. Alternatively, a 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major from an accredited university along with 2 years of experience in the relevant field will also be considered. Your responsibilities will include handling employee inquiries, ensuring performance expectations are met, supervising daily shift operations, and participating in department meetings to communicate goals effectively. You will oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, manage supplies and equipment, monitor service levels, ensure policy compliance, and strive to achieve budgeted goals. Providing exceptional customer service is a key aspect where you will interact with guests to gather feedback, supervise staffing levels, encourage excellent service, address guest issues promptly, and lead by example in guest relations. Human resource activities such as supervising training initiatives, setting performance expectations, coaching employees, and providing feedback will also be part of your duties. Additionally, you will assist in problem-solving, support servers and hosts during busy times, recognize quality products, and manage daily shift operations in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.
