Role Overview As an Assistant Manager Business Development, you will play a crucial role in expanding the PVC compounds business of the organization across both domestic and international markets. Your strong industry knowledge, established networks, and strategic growth initiatives will be key in driving the business forward. Key Responsibilities - Identify new business opportunities for PVC compounds in domestic and international markets by researching industry trends, competitor activities, and target sectors such as wires & cables, automotive, footwear, profiles, pipes, and injection molding. - Generate leads through various channels including networking, trade exhibitions, industrial directories, and digital platforms. - Build and maintain long-term relationships with OEMs, converters, distributors, and other industry stakeholders. - Understand client requirements and recommend suitable PVC compound grades or customized solutions. - Achieve assigned sales targets, prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and effectively close orders. - Collaborate closely with production and R&D teams to ensure timely sample development and delivery. - Provide insights on market demand, pricing trends, and product improvements. - Represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions, and industry seminars. - Prepare periodic reports, sales forecasts, competitor analysis, and market insights for management review. - Support marketing activities through technical presentations and customer engagement initiatives. Qualifications & Experience - Education: Diploma/Degree in Plastics/Polymer/Chemical Engineering; MBA in Marketing preferred. - Experience: 4-10 years in industrial sales or business development, with a focus on PVC compounds or the broader polymer industry.
