Assistant Manager, Administration

Role Summary:

The individual will oversee the administration and Accounts of the Students Housing and develop the Office of Students Residences to include off-campus housing, thereby ensuring that residence life is fully developed at Ahmedabad University over time. The individual will be responsible not only for managing the day-to-day affairs but also for managing the book of accounts related to fees, expenses and operational costs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Managing students within the Students Housing and providing them with the required support & assistance.
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Processing invoices, expense reports, and other financial transactions.
• Assisting in budget preparation and monitoring budgetary performance.
• Conducting periodic audits to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborating with external auditors during financial and property audits.
• Handling routine matters and/ or grievances of students.
• Maintaining the student's sign-in/ sign-out system.
• Ensuring discipline is maintained in a friendly yet firm manner.
• Responsible for all inventories within hostel premises.
• Interact with parents and potential Parents.
• Interact with Property Brokers to identify suitable accommodations for Off-Campus Housing.
• Foster a sense of community among hostel residents by organising events and group activities.
• Take appropriate disciplinary actions when required, following the university's disciplinary policies
