Assistant General Manager (AGM)

Role Overview

The AGM will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, optimizing revenue, and maintaining smooth coordination between teams. The role demands a hands-on leader who can uphold brand standards, motivate staff, and contribute to the hotel’s overall growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Banquets, and Maintenance.
• Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction through quality service and timely resolution of concerns.
• Support the GM in financial planning, budgeting, and cost control.
• Drive occupancy and revenue growth through effective room and event management.
• Lead, mentor, and train department heads to ensure operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and statutory regulations.
• Maintain coordination with vendors, travel partners, and corporate clients.
• Handle guest escalations and VIP arrangements with professionalism.
• Implement SOPs and performance improvement initiatives.
• Act as Acting General Manager in the absence of the GM.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Hotel Management or Hospitality Administration.
• 8–12 years of experience in hotel operations, including at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Strong understanding of 3-star or mid-scale hotel operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiar with hotel management software (PMS like IDS, Opera, or similar).
• Ability to lead by example and maintain high team morale.
