Assistant General Manager (AGM) – Hotel Operations 📍 Location: Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh 🏨 Hotel: Grand Geet Hotel (3-Star Property) 🕒 Experience: 8–12 years in hospitality operations 💼 Department: Operations / Management About Grand Geet Hotel Grand Geet is one of Kanpur’s most trusted 3-star hotels, known for its warm hospitality, elegant ambience, and guest-first service philosophy. We cater to both business and leisure travelers, offering modern comforts with a touch of traditional Indian hospitality. We are now seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to support the General Manager in leading operations and ensuring excellence across all departments. Role Overview The AGM will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, optimizing revenue, and maintaining smooth coordination between teams. The role demands a hands-on leader who can uphold brand standards, motivate staff, and contribute to the hotel’s overall growth and profitability. Key Responsibilities Supervise operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Banquets, and Maintenance. Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction through quality service and timely resolution of concerns. Support the GM in financial planning, budgeting, and cost control. Drive occupancy and revenue growth through effective room and event management. Lead, mentor, and train department heads to ensure operational excellence. Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and statutory regulations. Maintain coordination with vendors, travel partners, and corporate clients. Handle guest escalations and VIP arrangements with professionalism. Implement SOPs and performance improvement initiatives. Act as Acting General Manager in the absence of the GM. Desired Candidate Profile Graduate/Postgraduate in Hotel Management or Hospitality Administration. 8–12 years of experience in hotel operations, including at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role. Strong understanding of 3-star or mid-scale hotel operations. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Familiar with hotel management software (PMS like IDS, Opera, or similar). Ability to lead by example and maintain high team morale.
