Job Description

Assist the Front Office Manager in administering front office functions and supervising staff on a daily basis including Bell/Door Staff, Switchboard, and Guest Services/Front Desk. Direct and work with managers and employees to ensure an efficient check-in and check-out process, maximizing departmental financial performance while ensuring guest and employee satisfaction. **Candidate Profile:** - High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in guest services, front desk, or related professional area. OR - 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major from an accredited university with no work experience required. **Core Work Activities:** **Supporting Management of Front Desk Team:** - Lead, influence, and encourage team members, advocating sound financial decision-making and demonstrating honesty and integrity. - Supervise and manage employees, understand their positions to perform duties in their absence, and ensure employee recognition on all shifts. - Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with employees. **Monitoring and Supporting Progress Toward Guest Services and Front Desk Goals:** - Manage day-to-day operations to meet customer expectations, develop goals and plans, handle complaints, and strive to improve service performance. - Collaborate with the Front Office Manager to enhance departmental service, communicate clear Front Office goals, and participate in corrective action plans. **Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service:** - Provide services exceeding customer satisfaction, communicate to understand guest needs, and empower employees to deliver excellent customer service. - Interact with guests regularly for feedback on product quality and service levels, handle guest problems effectively, and display outstanding hospitality skills. **Managing Projects and Policies:** - Implement customer recognition/service programs, ensure compliance with Front Office policies, standards, and procedures while monitoring credit policies to minimize bad debts. **Additional Responsibilities:** - Provide information to supervisors and co-workers via various communication channels, analyze information to solve problems, and update relevant parties promptly. - Function in place of the Front Office Manager when absent, communicate critical information to the Front Office staff, and participate in department meetings.
