Role: Assistant Fashion Designer (3 months internship and then full time role based on performance )

Role Description

• As a Design Intern at Pocketful of Cherrie, you will gain hands-on exposure to the entire design process — from research and conceptualization to sampling and execution. Your responsibilities will include:
• Assisting in research and documentation of designs, silhouettes, embroideries, fabrics, and inspirations.
• Creating detailed design boards, technical flats, and CAD illustrations to support the design process.
• Coordinating with in-house kaarigars and external vendors for sample development, ensuring timely execution.
• Supporting print and surface development, including artwork preparation and approvals.
• Sourcing and selecting trims, embellishments, fabrics, and other materials in line with design requirements.
• Maintaining and organizing fabric/trim archives, mood boards, and design libraries.
• Supporting fittings, sample trials, and documenting changes for production accuracy.
• Preparing tech packs and spec sheets for production handovers.
• Assisting in the creation of collection lookbooks, line sheets, and presentation decks.
• Tracking sample progress, updating design calendars, and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Collaborating with the design and production team to ensure design intent is maintained through final execution.
• Assisting in backstage/showroom coordination during photoshoots, fashion shows, or client presentations.

Qualifications

• Strong graphic design skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Ability to create eye-catching illustrations and CADs.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design (completed or pursuing final year)
