About the Role: Assistant Conference Manager (Remote, Unpaid)


We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Conference Manager (Remote - Unpaid) to support our virtual conference operations. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in event management, project coordination, and virtual collaboration. As an Assistant Conference Manager, you will work closely with the conference team to ensure smooth planning and execution of online events, providing essential support across multiple aspects of conference management.


Key Responsibilities


• Assist in planning and coordination of virtual conferences.

• Support conference logistics, including agenda preparation, scheduling, and session management.

• Coordinate speaker and participant communication (emails, reminders, updates).

• Help set up and operate conference tools (Zoho Backstage, Zoho Meeting).

• Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, design, operations) to ensure smooth execution of content. 

• Assist in creating and distributing event materials (brochures, presentations, session notes).

• Track registrations, attendance, and engagement during and after events.

• Conduct post-conference analysis and prepare reports.


Technical Skills Required


• Conference/Event Tools: Familiarity with Zoho Backstage, Zoho Meeting, Zoom, or similar platforms.

• Office Tools: Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).

• Communication Tools: Comfortable with e-mail platforms, virtual collaboration tools

• Basic Design Skills: (Optional but useful) Canva and PowerPoint

• Data Handling: Ability to manage spreadsheets for registrations, attendance, and reports.


Duration: 6 months
