Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance Monitoring & Reporting:

    • Assist in overseeing the implementation of company policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Regularly monitor facilities operations to assess compliance with regulatory and safety standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA, ADA, fire safety, etc.).
    • Prepare and review compliance reports, identifying potential risks or violations and proposing corrective actions.
  • Audit & Risk Management:

    • Support internal audits and regulatory inspections, ensuring facilities are always prepared for inspections and audits.
    • Track and manage audit findings, assist with remediation activities, and follow up on corrective actions.
    • Maintain detailed records of compliance activities and audit results.
  • Training & Education:

    • Assist in designing and conducting training sessions for staff members on compliance-related topics, including health and safety protocols, legal requirements, and company policies.
    • Educate team members on new regulations or changes to existing compliance requirements.
  • Regulatory Updates & Documentation:

    • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, ensuring the company is aware of new or updated laws that affect facility management operations.
    • Update and maintain compliance documentation, manuals, and policies.
  • Collaboration & Support:

    • Work closely with facility managers, operations teams, and legal teams to resolve compliance issues and promote a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
    • Assist in the development of compliance strategies and initiatives aimed at improving facility operations and risk management.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:

    • Assist with compiling and analyzing data related to regulatory compliance, risk assessments, and operational performance.
    • Prepare regular reports and present findings to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field. Certification in compliance or regulatory management (e.g., Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP)) is a plus.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory affairs, preferably in the facility management, construction, or real estate industry.
    • Experience in conducting audits, risk assessments, and compliance inspections is strongly preferred.
  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks related to facility management, health and safety, environmental compliance, and building codes.
    • Ability to identify compliance gaps, assess risks, and implement corrective actions.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and compliance management software.
