A staffing & talent solutions firm serving enterprise IT and legacy application modernization needs across banking, insurance, manufacturing, and retail sectors in India. We place and support mission-critical application development teams working on IBM i / AS/400 platforms.

IBM i (AS/400) Developer — On-site (India)

About The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced IBM i (AS/400) Developer to join on-site delivery teams responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and modernizing core business applications built on the IBM i platform. The role focuses on high-quality code delivery, DB2 performance optimization, and close collaboration with business analysts and operations to ensure stable production services.Role & Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and support RPG/CL programs and related IBM i components following coding standards and release processes.
Write and optimize DB2 SQL, stored procedures, and file-level access to improve application performance and scalability.
Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes with minimal downtime.
Maintain and update job schedules, batch processes, and CL automation; coordinate deployments with operations teams.
Create technical specifications, unit tests, and maintain clear documentation for code changes and system interfaces.
Collaborate with business analysts, testers, and infrastructure teams to deliver requirements and support migration/modernization initiatives.
