Role Overview: Art Director

Experience Level:

as the Art Director, you will be responsible for defining and executing the visual style and creative direction for campaigns, brands and content across channels. You’ll be working with the design team to set the visual tone, ensure brand consistency and take ideas from concept to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop compelling visual concepts aligned with client/brand strategy, across print & digital.

• Guide a team of designers, illustrators and production artists; ensure everyone is aligned with the visual vision.

• Collaborate with copywriters, strategists, account teams and clients to translate briefs into visual solutions.

• Oversee the execution of visual assets, review work, enforce brand guidelines, ensure high quality, on time and within budget.

• Stay on top of design trends, new media formats and visual technologies to keep work fresh and relevant.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong portfolio showing conceptual thinking and execution across media platforms.

• Adequate command of design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator).

• Clear communication and presentation skills, able to articulate visual ideas to teams and clients.

• Organised project and team management skills, managing multiple projects, deadlines and resources.

• Creative leadership mindset: you can inspire, delegate, give feedback, and maintain visual excellence.

• Preferably a Bachelor of Arts or Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts or related field; 4-5 years’ relevant experience.

Performance Metrics

• Quality of creative output (innovation, visual impact, consistent brand voice)

• Timeliness and budget adherence of deliverables

• Satisfaction of internal teams and clients with design execution

• Team growth and performance under your direction

• Integration of new visual formats/trends into work where appropriate
