Job Description

The Area Sales Officer is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market reach, managing channel partners, and ensuring strong customer relationships within the assigned territory. The role involves achieving sales targets, monitoring market trends, and ensuring effective execution of sales strategies at the ground level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Achievement:
  • Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities within the assigned area.
  • Market Expansion & Lead Generation:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with distributors, dealers, and retailers.
  • Identify potential markets and improve product reach.
  • Channel Management:
  • Ensure dealer/distributor activation and retention.
  • Monitor stock levels, product availability, and timely supply.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Handle customer queries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Build strong rapport with key customers to enhance brand loyalty.
  • Market Intelligence:
  • Track competitor activities, pricing, and promotional strategies.
  • Provide periodic market feedback to the management team.
  • Promotional Activities:
  • Execute sales promotions and marketing campaigns effectively.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, sampling, or field promotions as required.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
  • Maintain daily sales reports, market visit reports, and MIS.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and processes.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of field sales experience (FMCG, consumer goods, retail, or similar industries preferred).
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Good understanding of market dynamics and channel sales.
  • Ability to work independently and achieve targets.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
