Area Sales Manager (ASM)

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Management & Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of field sales executives/relationship officers.
  • Drive daily performance, monitor productivity, and achieve business targets.
  • Conduct regular team reviews, joint field visits, and on-ground coaching.

2. Merchant Acquisition & Engagement

  • Identify and onboard SMB merchants, retailers, and local businesses for credit products.
  • Build and manage relationships with merchant associations, channel partners, and local networks.
  • Educate merchants on product features, interest rates, repayment cycles, and digital onboarding processes.

3. Sales & Target Achievement

  • Achieve monthly merchant acquisition, credit disbursement, and revenue targets.
  • Drive penetration of fintech credit products within the assigned territory.

Key Requirements

Education

  • Graduate in Business/Commerce/Finance.

Experience

  • 4-7 years of sales experience in

    fintech, NBFC, banking, merchant services

    , or similar domains.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing field sales teams.
  • Proven track record in merchant acquisition, credit product sales, SME lending, or related verticals.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong people management and team leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Comfortable using digital onboarding tools, mobile apps, and fintech platforms.
