Area Sales Manager

Role Overview: Strand Life Sciences is looking for a Business Development Officer / Business Development Manager/ Area Sales Manager to join their team in Bangalore, Mumbai, Trivendrum, Patna, Kolkata, Delhi, Kochi, and Kerala. As part of the team, you will be responsible for defining and executing the go-to-market strategy to achieve sales targets in the assigned region. Your role will involve establishing strategic partnerships with healthcare institutions and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) while prioritizing customer satisfaction and patient well-being. Key Responsibilities: - Achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets in the designated geographical area. - Assess the market potential, prioritize opportunities, and implement the go-to-market plan effectively. - Monitor and track progress of opportunities in the pipeline and ensure fulfillment targets are met. - Build and maintain relationships with senior Clinicians and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in core areas. - Establish Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and enhance business engagement with key healthcare customers by understanding their challenges and providing solutions. - Engage with professional society stakeholders within the region. - Organize regional and local marketing events in collaboration with the Marketing team. - Stay updated on advancements in Next Generation Sequencing and standard care in Prenatal and pediatric genetics. - Take ownership of each sample/case to ensure timely progress from order to reporting. - Serve as the primary point of contact for customers in the region and address any issues promptly. Qualifications Required: - 0 to 3+ years of experience in the Molecular Diagnostics Industry. - Preference for experience and knowledge in Reproductive and Rare Disease fields. - Strong understanding of the genetic testing landscape. - Academic degree in Science, specifically biotechnology, would be advantageous. - Willingness to travel up to 70% of work time. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in the local language is desirable.
