Deallus is currently seeking Managers and Senior Managers to contribute to its newly established operations in India. The India office is in the process of setting up with rapid plans to scale as part of the global growth strategy. This role is ideal for a seasoned Project Manager and future business leader with prior management consulting experience, interested in mastering Project and Engagement Manager capabilities in a role that offers significant involvement in the growth of the India office and the broader business. Purpose of the Role Working as the Client Lead, Managers and Senior Managers collaborate directly with clients (CI Managers, CI Directors, Business Analytics, and Insights) to effectively scope projects, define clients" strategic objectives, and take ownership of high-quality delivery. They develop strong relationships internally and externally to ensure ongoing commercial success and play a key driving role in business development. These individuals are considered the future leaders of the business, actively growing and developing the next generation of pharma leaders. Key Accountabilities Client and Account Management: - Manages regional accounts or sections within large global accounts - Ensures client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle and identifies areas for future account growth - Manages business development activity within assigned engagements and works with client leads to deliver against key account plans - Scopes project opportunities and prices projects Project Management: - Manages large, complex projects, ensuring seamless delivery in line with client timelines and expectations - Manages the internal project team, including global teams as necessary - Supports the development of project team members by aligning development needs to project deliverables and facilitating a feedback culture - Identifies project risks and implements plans to mitigate these - Oversees the production of all deliverables, ensuring robust analysis and commercial application to the client context - Manages project delivery according to plan and within project budget, including key milestones, delivery timelines, and review sessions, with an eye for available capacity and potential issues and risks People Management: - Acts as a Development Manager, ensuring the continual development of team members - Manages all aspects of team members" performance, including performance management, review, development, and career planning - Manages any underperformance issues promptly and in line with company policy Deallus Leadership: - Supports the rollout of global change initiatives - Gets involved in at least one regional or global internal initiative Requirements Required: - Deep familiarity and in-market experience with the global pharmaceutical market - 8+ years of recent life science/management consulting experience - Possession of a postgraduate or advanced degree in life sciences or a relevant field - Track record of professional success and leadership skills - Robust knowledge and hands-on experience working on Competitive Intelligence, Commercial Strategy, and/or Market Access projects - Experience in developing and marketing thought leadership - Commercial network in the target pharma sector - Depth in one or more of the following therapeutic areas: Oncology, Neurology, Vaccines, Immunology, Cell & Gene, Rare Disease Desirable: - Publications and conference presentations Key Technical Skills/Experience: - Exceptional command of written and verbal English - Experience managing complex strategic projects - Line management experience - Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint - Strong understanding of the life sciences/pharma industry, including recent trends, developments, and challenges Key Behavioral Skills: - Strong interpersonal skills - Ability to manage difficult conversations - Excellent communication skills - Commercial mindset - Strong people management skills - High-level analytical skills - Entrepreneurial mindset - Alignment with Deallus values: Collaboration, Curiosity, Passion, Resilience, Winning Mindset Experience: - Degree(s): M.PHARM/MBBS/MS Biotechnology/PhD - Major(s): Life Sciences - Manager: 8 years+ of relevant experience - Senior Manager: 10 years+ of relevant experience,
