Job Description: Area Sales Manager Belgrey
Role OverviewAn ASM oversees sales strategy, execution, and team leadership across a defined territory in the beverage segmentcovering general trade, modern trade, distributors, and retail.  Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Targets & Forecasting

Achieve primary and secondary sales targets within the territory. Develop monthly/quarterly sales plans, budgets, and forecasts based on historical data and shelf-life management.

  • Channel & Distributor Management

Manage relationships with wholesalers, distributors, general and modern trade outlets. Execute headquarter-level programs and ensure merchandising compliance (shelves, POS, racks, displays).

  • Team Leadership & Training

Lead, mentor, and coach district sales reps, DSD staff, and merchandisers through ride-alongs and performance monitoring. Conduct training on products, sales techniques, reporting, and closing strategies.

  • Territory Execution & Analysis

Plan and optimize store visits, trade promotions, and retail blitzes. Track market trends, competitor activity, and field execution; adjust strategies proactively.

  • Customer Relationships

Build and maintain strong rapport with key accountsretail chains, supermarkets, and wholesalers.

  • Operational Oversight

Ensure planogram adherence, timely returns, trade visibility, and merchandising material upkeep. Manage field expenses, route efficiency, and administrative tasks (CRM, data logging).
Qualifications

  • Experience

38+ years in beverage/CPG sales with 1+ years in supervisory roles.

  • Education

Minimum high school; Bachelors degree preferred (Business, Marketing, or related). Some roles ask for MBA or post-grad.

  • Skills & Abilities

Strong leadership, negotiation, time management, and analytical skills. Comfortable with fieldworkdriving, lifting up to ~40 lbs, frequent travel. Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM, and sales reporting tools.
