Job Description

Job Title: Area Business Manager (ABM)

Role Objective

Area Business Manager

🔹 Sales & Business Development

Achieve
monthly and quarterly sales targets
for the assigned area
Drive brand performance across
hospitals, doctors, and pharmacies
Execute company sales strategies and promotional plans
Identify new growth opportunities within the territory

🔹 Team Management

Manage, coach, and motivate
Medical Sales Representatives (MSRs)
Conduct joint field work and regular performance reviews
Ensure proper territory coverage, call planning, and route execution

🔹 Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with
doctors, hospitals, KOLs, and distributors
Support institutional sales and key account management
Ensure ethical promotion and SOP compliance

🔹 Reporting & Analysis

Track sales performance, secondary sales, and market trends
Submit daily/weekly/monthly reports through
CRM / ERP systems
Monitor competitor activity and suggest corrective actions

🎓 Qualification & Experience

Education:
B.Pharm / D.Pharm / MBA (preferred)
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of pharmaceutical sales experience
Experience as
Senior MSR / Team Leader
will be an advantage

🧠 Skills Required

Strong leadership and communication skills
Proven ability to achieve sales targets
Knowledge of pharma products and hospital working
Basic proficiency in MS Excel & CRM tools
Willingness to travel within the assigned area
