As an Area Sales Manager for Dealer and Distributor Sales of V-Belt, your role involves overseeing sales operations and driving growth in the industrial, agriculture machinery, and automotive sectors. Your responsibilities include: - **Sales Strategy and Planning**: - Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets and expand market share. - Conduct market analysis to identify new business opportunities. - Prepare annual sales plans, forecasts, and budgets. - **Business Development**: - Identify and pursue new business opportunities. - Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, distributors, and partners. - Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms effectively. - **Market and Competitor Analysis**: - Monitor market trends and competitor activities. - Gather and analyze market intelligence to inform sales tactics. - Identify potential risks and opportunities in the market. - **Customer Relationship Management**: - Maintain strong relationships with customers. - Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly. - Develop customer engagement initiatives to enhance loyalty. - **Sales Reporting and Analysis**: - Prepare regular sales reports and analyze sales data. - Identify trends and areas for improvement. - Present findings and recommendations to senior management. - **Compliance and Ethics**: - Ensure sales activities comply with company policies and legal regulations. - Maintain accurate records of sales activities and transactions. In terms of qualifications, a B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred. You should also have a minimum of 5-10 years of sales experience as an area manager with a proven track record of achieving targets and growing market share. Your skills should include excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, proficiency in sales management software, strong analytical skills, and the ability to travel frequently within the region.
