Job Description

Job Title: Area Sales Executive – Dealer & Distributor Development Department: Sales & Distribution Reports To: Regional Sales Manager / Area Sales Manager Job Purpose To drive business growth by expanding and managing the dealer network, ensuring effective coordination with distributors and retailers, and implementing sales initiatives and promotional activities that enhance market presence and secondary sales. Key Responsibilities Expand and manage the dealer and retailer network in the assigned territory. Build strong relationships and ensure continuous coordination with distributors and retailers. Plan and execute sales promotional activities to increase product visibility and market traction. Forecast sales targets and monitor plan execution to ensure consistent achievement. Track and improve market share by targeting key retailers in each location. Drive secondary sales growth through reach expansion, channel programs (e.g., electrician engagement), and close collaboration with distributors and the field team. Develop area-wise sales strategies and ensure implementation through key account management, new retail initiatives, and local marketing campaigns. Candidate Profile Education: Graduate in any discipline (preferably in Business, Marketing, or Commerce). Experience: Minimum 4+ years of experience in dealer development and distributor management in FMCG, Consumer Durables, Building Materials, Electricals, or related industries. Key Skills & Competencies First-Principles Thinking: Ability to challenge assumptions and create novel solutions from the ground up. Adaptability to Ambiguity: Comfortable working in unstructured and fast-paced environments. Hands-on Attitude: Willingness to get involved in ground-level execution. Stakeholder Management: Capability to coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders. Detail Orientation: Strong focus on accuracy and ability to catch small but crucial issues. Sales Acumen: In-depth understanding of retail, channel management, and secondary sales levers. Execution Skills: Ability to translate plans into actions on ground and ensure results.
